About Me

I completed my B.S. in Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine. It was here that I got my first real introduction to the world of computer science. I honed my skills in languages such as Python, C++, C, and Java, while also learning about the principles of software design, and most importantly, the power of collaboration.

I specialized in intelligent systems, yet have always been quick to find interest and excitement in various aspects of computer science. At my core, I'm a problem solver, and the satisfaction from solving a complex problem with a well-organized list of instructions won my heart as soon as I began really programming.

When I'm not writing code, I may be teaching it to a brilliantly tech-savvy next generation of problem solvers, with topics ranging from Scratch, to object-oriented design in Java, to data analysis using Python's pandas library. Not only is it fun to demystify STEM for young students, but it also keeps my syntax for my lesser-used languages sharp!

Outside of my professional interests, I enjoy socializing through video games and weightlifting, as well as playing in a beach flag football league with friends. I love to meet new people, so don't hesitate to get in touch!

Projects

Spotify Playlist GPT

A fun project I worked on to help better understand how to use OpenAI's GPT-4 API. This project provides a command line interface for creating a playlist based on a prompt, and adding it directly to your spotify account.

DNA Damage Image Classifier

A machine learning project aimed at classifying images of mice cell damages caused by space radiation. This research contributes to understanding the health hazards astronauts face, including DNA damage and immune system effects.

Snowy Pines Christmas Trees

While working towards my degree, I had the opportunity to design and deploy a static informational website for a local Christmas tree lot. Since my formal education never touched on front-end development, I saw it as a valuable experience to learn by doing. This project, completed within a tight one-month deadline, spanned from initial concept to final hosting.
